Did you ever wonder how to pronounce Sokratz? I get the question often enough that I finally wrote it up.
Sokratz: (So-kreyts)
- "So" as in, "so what", or "doe ray me fah so la tee doe."
- "kreyts" as in more then one wooden box that you might ship fruit in - a crate. More than one crate means that you would have a few "crates." Some like to pronounce the "a" stronger as in the word "Rats", or "Bats." But the correct pronunciation is a like a fruit box - crate, bait, late, skate, rebate, etc.
